I was born a dairy farmer’s daughter in Lebanon NJ on a farm owned by my grandfather. I worked side by side with my dad until the farm sold in 1988. My father then continued to farm with his own beef herd. Cows have always been my passion and a part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. On my 21st birthday my parents bought me my first registered Jersey calf named Lily. The Jersey breed was always my favorite because I thought they were so beautiful with their big brown eyes. After that I began purchasing calves when I could afford them with the notion I would grow my own herd. Once I had worked with various dairy herds, I decided I was ready to venture out on my own. So as a single mom, with a loan, and big dreams, I purchased a small milking Jersey herd and Sugar Maple Jerseys was established on June 22, 2013.
